Over the past two years, we’ve all been staying home more than ever. With this extra time spent at home, we’re realizing the importance of how making your space your own can positively affect the way we live and feel. Even as the world starts to open back up, it’s important to invest in your home to create a comfortable and inviting space you want to come back to every time.
After this Kessler Park Mansion received a bold interior renovation from our partners at SEES Design, the homeowners looked to Signature Illumination Designs to create a unique outdoor environment that would bring their beloved, historic property to life.
This Renaissance-style home was built in the 1920s with distinct architectural features that you don’t see often in today’s modern homes. To draw attention to the beautiful arches and rounded columns, we installed custom column lights that delicately illuminate the stunning details of the home; ensuring no one can miss the stunning details of this historical property.
The large tree in the front lawn provides the perfect medium to create moonlighting. The strategically placed lights add a modern touch helping to refresh the exterior of the home. This technique keeps the space uniformly illuminated, providing extra security, and allowing for late-night events with no worries. We also installed low-voltage uplights along the fence to accentuate the texture and highlight the landscaping.
Carrying our custom lighting design to the backyard, we freshened up the formal tone of the home to create a serene and inviting environment. Along the edge of the backyard, we added low-voltage uplights to brighten the space and bring attention to the beautiful Savannah Hollies. The path lights lining the pool deck ensure the space is easy to navigate for a late-night swim.
Everywhere you look on this property you’ll find a unique architectural feature reminiscent of the roaring 20s. For the side entrance stairway, we installed warm step lights strategically spaced for easy navigation and to ensure a grand entrance no matter what side you enter on. As we moved closer to the home, we added brighter step lights to mimic the warmth of the home and create a comprehensive flow throughout the space.
