After completing a modern renovation, the homeowners of this Preston Hollow residence looked to Signature Illumination Designs to add warmth to their previously dark property. Working closely with Marlin Landscape, we developed a custom lighting solution that elevates the sophisticated renovation and transforms the outdoor space into an inviting entertainment and event space.
Our lighting designers used a variety of lighting techniques to establish a warm and welcoming ambiance throughout the property. The large trees surrounding the driveway provided the perfect canvases for moonlighting. The glow from the lights cast delicate shadows, bringing warmth and proper illumination to a previously dark entryway. Near the entrance, we installed recessed uplights to create soft focal points that highlight the unique architectural features of the home.
The sprawling front yard is brought to life with a mix of uplighting and moonlighting strategically placed throughout. The lights underneath the ornamental trees create unique focal points that naturally draw the eye. The glimmer from the moonlighting casts gorgeous shadows across the walkway, ensuring safety while navigating throughout the property.
Continuing the lighting scheme into the backyard, we used a creative mix of moonlighting, downlighting and uplighting to create a picturesque backdrop perfect for entertaining. The soft uplights increase visibility and extend the hours of use while the downlighting near the pool ensures every evening swim is underneath the warm glow of the moon.
