With a natural eye for design and years of experience working at one of the top lighting firms in the world, Scott Beverly decided it was time to take a leap of faith and start his own lighting firm. Founded on the principles of design and a commitment to quality, Signature Illumination Designs was started by Scott on June 1, 2009. Since then, Signature has transformed nightscapes across the globe and has developed one-of-a-kind custom lighting solutions for some of the finest resorts, museums and botanical gardens like the Dallas Arboretum.
Scott began his lighting career in 2004 as the Chief Operations Officer for John Watson Landscape Illumination, a pioneer in the exterior lighting industry. As the COO at Watson, Scott learned the ins and outs of running a world-class lighting firm while refining his technical and artistic skills. Throughout his time at Watson, Scott accumulated a deep understanding of the industry and the technical acumen to marry science and art together to achieve unique lighting designs. In 2008, when the economy started to turn, Scott left Watson with the vision of starting Signature Illumination Designs.
Since the company’s inception in 2009, Signature Illumination Designs has built lasting relationships with its 2,200 clients and has continued to grow by providing elegant lighting solutions with unsurpassed customer service. Even when the world came to a halt last year, Signature remained committed to quality and continued to deliver exceptional lighting solutions that maximized outdoor areas and transformed backyards into multifunctional living spaces.

In 2021, Signature Illumination Designs was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in Texas. Scott’s commitment to excellence is the driving force behind this achievement; however, he couldn’t have done it without his dedicated, cooperative and hard-working team. Scott attributes much of the company’s recent success to Signature’s Director of Business Development, Corey Flynn. As a valuable asset to the team, Corey’s enthusiasm for the lighting industry and innate ability to network has not only garnered new business but has also created lasting relationships with key business partners.
Scott credits much of his success to his loving, patient wife, Debbi Beverly. She has remained a steady rock for Scott throughout this journey, taking care of the family as CEO of the Beverly household.
